Position: Utility Technician

Job Overview:
The Utility Technician role encompasses responsibilities across various categories and technologies, primarily focusing on generators, compressors, HVAC systems, and fire suppression systems.
You will oversee the operation and maintenance of utility systems to ensure efficient and safe delivery of high-quality utilities to the factory. As a key member of the engineering team, you will contribute to maintaining safety, resolving process issues, and ensuring operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, boilers, compressors, and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Inspection & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular inspections of utility systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to health, safety, and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
- Emergency Response:
- Address utility emergencies and ensure rapid restoration of services.
- Autonomous Maintenance:
- Execute routine checks (CLIT) and address abnormalities as outlined in guidelines.
- Setup & Configuration:
- Handle initial equipment setup, calibration, and configuration for optimal performance.
- Monitoring & Quality Assurance:
- Continuously monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Data & Collaboration:
- Collect and manage equipment data, generate reports, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to enhance processes.
- Training & Safety:
- Stay updated with technical advancements and maintain strict safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- OND in Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in utilities, power plant generators, and boilers.
- In-depth understanding of effluent treatment plants, compressors, generators, and water treatment equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Flexibility to accommodate shift patterns, factory shutdowns, and training sessions.
