The 63rd Graduate Study Programme
The 63rd edition will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 30 June to 11 July 2025, under the theme “UN80: United for a Better Future.” This theme commemorates the United Nations’ 80th anniversary and focuses on the implementation of the Pact for the Future, adopted in 2024.
What You’ll Experience
Participants will engage in a rich two-week programme that includes:
- Morning Lectures: Gain insights from UN representatives, diplomats, and civil society leaders.
- Workshops and Visits: Explore key institutions shaping global governance.
- Afternoon Group Projects: Collaborate on research addressing themes from the Pact for the Future, including sustainable development, digital cooperation, and youth empowerment.
Student-led groups will draft innovative solutions to challenges faced by the multilateral system, with minimal guidance from facilitators.
The Pact for the Future
Adopted during the Summit of the Future in September 2024, the Pact for the Future represents a landmark agreement addressing critical global challenges. Its commitments encompass:
- Peace and security

- Gender equality
- Global governance
This transformative framework reinforces nations’ dedication to the UN Charter and the international system, marking a pivotal moment in modern diplomacy.
Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to:
- Graduate students aged 22–32.
- Individuals not employed full-time.
- Proficient English speakers (French skills are a plus).

- Application Period: 18 December 2024 – 28 February 2025 (12:00 noon Geneva time).
- Notification of Results: First week of April 2025.
