Organized by the British Council’s Study UK campaign in collaboration with various UK universities, these scholarships provide access to outstanding academic programs across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
About the Scholarships
- Over 70 UK universities are participating, offering more than 200 scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026.
- Scholarships are co-funded by the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council, and participating universities.
- As part of the program, all GREAT scholars will attend a welcome reception during the first semester and a networking event in the second semester.
Scholarship Benefits
- Each scholarship provides £10,000, which will be deducted from tuition fees.
- The scholarship is valid for one academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of an eligible country.
- Hold an undergraduate degree and demonstrate motivation and interest in their chosen subject area.
- Meet the English language requirements of the selected UK university.
- Commit to engaging with the UK academically and personally as a scholar.
- Attend networking events with other GREAT scholars to share experiences.
- Maintain contact with the British Council and their university, serving as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
- Be willing to share their experiences with future applicants as an alumnus.
