The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment process, with applications open for roles in the Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres. This follows its recent approval to recruit 3,927 officers to enhance trade facilitation and support economic recovery efforts.
Applications are open to graduates, national diploma holders, and secondary school certificate holders.
Available Positions and Requirements
1. Superintendent Cadre (Graduate Trainee)
•Required Qualification: BSc, HND, or BA
•Location: All States in Nigeria
Job Requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- No criminal record or pending investigation.
Academic Requirements:
- University Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND).
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Medical Requirements:
- Evidence of fitness from a recognized government hospital.
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
2. Inspectorate Cadre (Diploma Holders)
•Required Qualification: OND or NCE
•Location: All States in Nigeria
Job Requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- No criminal record or pending investigation.
Academic Requirements:
- National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from an accredited institution.
Medical Requirements:
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
- Evidence of fitness from a recognized government hospital.
3. Customs Assistant Cadre (SSCE Holders)
•Required Qualification: WAEC, NECO, or equivalent
•Location: All States in Nigeria
Job Requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- No criminal record or pending investigation.
Academic Requirements:
- O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).
Medical Requirements:
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
- Evidence of fitness from a recognized government hospital.

General Conditions
- Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
- Completion of primary education with a First School Leaving Certificate is mandatory.
- Height requirements: Minimum of 1.7m for males and 1.64m for females.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit and free from any form of disability.
- Applicants must not have been convicted of any criminal offense or be members of secret societies or cults.
- Drug addicts are not eligible to apply.
- A certificate of state or local government of origin must be presented.
